I've recently heard that there is going to be yet another restaurant/take away in the centre of Bingham, does anyone if there's any truth to this rumour?? |

I have not heard that, where would it go? Surely we have enough eating out/in places already for a small villiage?? I think an updated clothes shop is more needed! |

I have heard it was going to be the newly renovated shops next to the chinese restaurant and hotel, I've heard another one is going where the old post office used to be. I agree about the clothes shops |

its a cafe called Metro, i think there is already one in west bridgford or somewhere similar. It sounds really nice and very focused on using local produce. Bingham doesnt have a dedicated cafe at present |

The shops next to the Chinese restaurant are 11 Market Street and number 11a, next door. Consent for A2 use was granted on 11 Market Street whilst 11a Market Street has A3 use. The amount of A2 and A3 usage in the market town of Bingham is restricted. There is also another shop to rent, 14-16 Market Street, most recent use was as a hairdressers and beauty salon. Recently it has been granted change of use to A3 for a restaurant and cafe where the primary purpose is the sale and consumption of food and light refreshments on the premises with automatic permitted change to A1 and A2. I'm not sure what classes A1, A2 and A3 are but I agree that there are too many "up market" expensive eating places and pubs in Bingham. I reckon that we could do with a cafe for simple food, eg maybe a bacon butty and a decent cup of tea, at reasonable prices for the less affluent of us. I bet it would have a roaring trade. |

I think you are right about the cafy bighead, a greasy spoon would go down very well, often said to the wife I wish we could get a bacon butty an a mug of tea. does it have to be up market to be good. |

people care more about eating better nowadays i guess, you dont see many greasy spoons opening. If i eat out i like to get things i cant make (or its a bit too much bother to make) at home otherwise its not really much of a treat is it! |
