Gritting of Residential Roads in Bingham - or lack of!
| Posted by steffiem10 - 13:08 - 29th December 2009 |
Does anyone know how we go about getting the residential roads gritted? Having called the council we were told that the likes of St Marys Road and Abbey Road are not a priority even though Abbey Road is a bus route and not to mention both these roads and pavements resembled ice rinks. Shouldn't this be coming out of the Council Tax we have to fork out for every month? |

the road i live on is probably 50% young families 50% elderly people. The 'elderly people' are all very active so i dont mean to patronise them but it is very dangerous for older people to fall on ice. There was literally a half inch of solid ice accross the entire pavement. It was horrendous. |

I have to say I did think the same as my car was sliding into kerbs, it is appalling that most of Bingham was neglected, but the council dont care so we have no case; until it happens again and there is a nasty accident through neglect of councils lack of grit. |

try going to the next full town council meeting see what it is they talk about, and have your say. I went and was not happy with where it seems our money is being spent |
