I wasn't in Bingham this weekend just gone. I was staying with my parents in West Bridgford. A friend of mine told me about this this morning and I thought she was having a joke when she said was I planning to take money out of the ATM at the Nat West Bank on Church Street. I said no and she said good job as a tractor went into the ATM machine and it was all cordend off.

I went to have a look this afternoon, and sure enough there was a massive hole where the tractor went through the wall. Aparently they left the tractor there and made off in another vehical. I saw a bit of it on the news and it was captured on CCTV but the CCTV bit I saw on the East Midlands Today you could only see the tires of the tractor and not the people's faces who did this dreadful act.

I was also chatting with 2 of the staff from the bank and another passer by and the passer by made a joke of I hope the police checked the floors and outside on the pavement and road for stray bank notes, but in a way I guess it was a serious statement to make.

I hope they catch these people very soon.

What a shock the back staff wouuld of got this morning as they came to do a normal days work and found a massive hole in the side of the bank.
