We are a group of postgraduate tutors led by Dr Alex Moseley offering personalised tuition for primary school, 11+ and entrance exams, GCSEs, A-levels and degree level. At the higher levels, we offer tuition in the sciences, mathematics, the social sciences, and the humanities; we also offer sixth form students and undergraduates assistance in study skills, writing and research skills, academic coaching and mentoring.

Since 2001, under the direction of Alex and Moira Moseley-Brown, we have looked after hundreds of pupils and seen them grow in confidence and ability.

We work with pupils on a one-to-one basis. One-to-one helps bring out the best in our pupils and allows their weaknesses or worries to come to the fore in a calm, enjoyable atmosphere that helps them gain the confidence and knowledge to achieve their personal goals and strengthen their academic confidence.

Our tutors are also postgraduate specialists in their field of study. They bring their unique enthusiasm to the tutorial as well as the experience that they have had achieving their own ambitions .

Above all, Classical Foundations is a family run business. We firmly believe in the importance of family life and values and of tailoring education to meet the needs and expectations of families through personalised teaching, coaching, and mentoring. As a small company, we also ensure that our tutors are also mentored: they do not work in isolation but are encouraged to share their experiences and issues with each other thereby providing clients with a team of specialists and a range of experiences to fall back on.
