We are a friendly, social, informal group positive about raising awareness and making a difference locally. You need no experience whatsoever. Whether you are interested in growing food, reducing energy use, producing energy, sustainable living, transport issues, making local produce, reducing waste, recycling and reusing we need all types of people, skills and interests of any age. We want to work with and support other local organisations who are acheiving similar things. Want to find out more then check out our website. The regular newsletter has just come out. Vale Villages in Transition (VVIT) is a small group of people committed to enabling our local area to adapt to the reducing availability of cheap oil and to re-creating a capable, cohesive community. We are part of a growing world-wide movement with similar aims. What we are convinced of is this: if we wait for the governments, it'll be too little, too late; if we act as individuals, it'll be too little; but if we act as communities, it might just be enough, just in time.
